Act on the Promotion and Preservation of Cultural Intellectual Heritage, B.E.2559 (2016).

This Act is enacted to organize the promotion and preservation of the cultural intellect heritage to be continuous and sustainable.
The Commission of Promotion and Conservation of Intangible Cultural Heritage shall be established. The Commission's powers and duties include: (1) to give recommendations or advice to the Minister in connection with the issuance of Ministerial Regulations under this Act; (2) to consider and give approval to the listing of intangible cultural heritage; (3) to consider and give approval to action plans and programmes for the promotion and conservation of intangible cultural heritage as proposed by the Department of Cultural Promotion; (4) to supervise, follow and evaluate the promotion and conservation of intangible cultural heritage; etc.
The Act further makes provisions for: establishment of a committee to promote and preserve the cultural heritage of Bangkok, the committees to promote and preserve the provincial cultural heritage, the duties thereof, etc.
