Abstract
This Act is enacted to maintain national interests at sea with efficiency and maximum benefit, including maintaining sovereignty, sovereign rights, and other rights and duties according to international law.
The Committee on Policy for the Protection of Marine National Interests shall be eatablished. The Prime Minister or Deputy Prime Minister shall be the Chairman of the Committee. The Committee's duties and powers include: ( 1 ) Set policy, strategy, national plan and measures to preserve national marine interests; ( 2 ) Provide advice, consultation, and support in the performance of duties to serve national interests at sea; etc. The committee shall appoint a subcommittee to advise and manage knowledge for the national maritime interest.
A center for the maintenance of national interests at sea shall be established in the Prime Minister's Office. The Prime Minister shall be the Director of the Center for the Protection of National Maritime Interests. The Center's duties and powers include: ( 1 ) Plan, direct, coordinate, command, and support the operations of government agencies involved in protecting national interests at sea; ( 2 ) Monitor, inspect, and evaluate trends in situations that may pose a threat to national interests at sea, and report to the committee and the Cabinet, respectively, for further consideration; etc.
