Abstract
The overall objective of the National Maritime Security Plan of Thailand (2023-2027) is set as: Thailand will efficiently manage and control sea threats in all dimensions. The specific objectives includ: 1. To protect and uphold the sovereignty, marine authority, and maritime rights of the nation, conserving marine resources and ecosystems, maintaining the balance of power at sea; 2. To manage and control maritime activities, prevent and combat sea threats in various forms that affect people's livelihoods and properties; 3. To conserve, preserve, and develop marine resources and marine environment, ensuring sustainable benefits from the sea and enhancing marine-related activities for balanced and sustainable economic development; 4. To ensure security, rights, and improve the quality of life of people engaged in maritime activities, in line with the suitability of the sea in all aspects; 5. To promote and facilitate the development of Thailand's marine economy, including effective management, ensuring sustainable utilization of marine resources; 6. To enhance Thailand's role in promoting cooperation in maritime security and stability on the international stage; 7. To develop public-sector marine management, enhance the capabilities of personnel, and promote knowledge management, safeguarding the benefits of the nation's marine resources, encouraging the active participation of all sectors efficiently and ethically.
