Abstract
The purpose of this Notification is to amend the Notification No. 268 B.E. 2549 (2006) of the Ministry of Public Health on the Prescribed Standards for Some Chemical Contaminations in Foods dated on 21st April 2549 (2006).
The Clause 2 shall be replaced with the following: “all food products shall not be detected of contamination of the following chemicals: (1) Chloramphenicol and its salts. (2) Nitrofurazone and its salts (3) Nitrofurantoin and its salts (4) Furazolidone and its salts (5) Furaltadone and its salts (6) Malachite Green and its salts Chemicals in (1) (2) (3) (4) (5) and (6) also include metabolite of these substances”.

This Notification shall come into force as from the day following date of its publication in the Government Gazette.
