Notification of the Ministry of Public Health (No. 57 of 1981) Re: Cocoanut Oil.

Coconut oil derived from Cocoanut meat, botanical name Cocos nucifera, shall be specially controlled food (Clause 1). Clause 2 provides for requirements and rules to be satisfied by the manufacturing of palm oil. Clause 3 provides for the quality of coconut oil made for sales, imported for sales or sold for consumption or cooking. The Notification further covers requirements for the food additives and contaminants, and requirements for the labeling and containers of coconut oil.
