Abstract
This Primary School Lunch Program Fund Act, B.E. 2535(1992) was enacted to address malnutrition among primary school students in Thailand. It establishes a dedicated fund within the Ministry of Finance to support school lunch programs, improve student nutrition, and raise awareness about child malnutrition. The fund is composed of initial capital, government budget allocations, donations, and interest income. A governing committee, chaired by the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Education and comprising representatives from various ministries and experts, is responsible for managing the fund, setting policies, allocating resources, and coordinating with public and private sectors. The Act mandates transparent financial management, including budgeting, accounting, and auditing procedures, with annual reporting to the Cabinet.
