Abstract
This Cabinet Resolution on 1 September 1995 sets up the criteria for filing a waiver according to the resolution of the Cabinet on February 21, 1995, regarding the determination of community settlement, government place and migration of inhabitant out of watershed class 1A area. It provides for guidelines and conditions for defining an area that should be waived, and measures to be taken to manage waiver areas. Measures to control and promote effective land use include: Land use planning, preparation of soil and water conservation measures and agroforestry systems; Land conservation training and creating incentives and promoting afforestation. In the case of areas that are not granted waiver and there is a need to evacuate people from the area, the procedures for evacuating citizens and preparation of the supporting area are stipulated.
