Abstract
This Decree is enacted to implement the Section 64 of the National Park Act, B.E. 2562 (2019) to address the government's plan to assist individuals without land for farming or living, particularly within national parks. This initiative aligns with the Cabinet Resolution from June 30, 1998, and the National Council for Peace and Order Order No. 66/2557, which aim to combat forest encroachment and destruction. The decree allows temporary living or farming without land rights, as stipulated by Section 64 of the National Park Act B.E. 2562. The Department of National Parks, Wildlife and Plant Conservation, with the National Park Committee's approval, is tasked with creating a project to conserve and maintain natural resources within national parks. This includes setting criteria and qualifications for conservation duties, methods for living or farming, and conditions for terminating such activities. The decree also establishes measures for supervision, monitoring, and evaluation of the project's implementation, ensuring sustainable management of natural resources and support for local communities. The project has a period of twenty years from the date this Royal Decree comes into force. The project shall be carried out in the national park areas as specified in the list attached to this Royal Decree and shall have the project boundaries as specified in the map attached to this Royal Decree.
