Abstract
This Standard for Compost is established by the National Bureau of Agricultural Commodity and Food Standards, Ministry of Agriculture and Cooperatives in order to ensure that compost produced in Thailand meet the standard and safe for all concerned parties throughout the food chain.
Compost means a type of solid organic fertilizer which is derived or made from organic materials. The materials have undergone a complete decomposition until they transform completely from the original state. The compost provides essential nutrients for plant growth. The Standard defines required specifications, containers, labels, marks and sampling method as well as the criteria for compliance.
