Abstract
This Act regulates tobacco sales, advertising, promotion and sponsorship, and packaging and labeling of tobacco products. The tobacco products to be sold shall have the composition in accordance with the standards prescribed in the Ministerial Rules. The manufacturer or importer of tobacco products shall inform the Ministry of Public Health of the particulars of composition of the tobacco products in accordance with the Ministerial Rules. The Act imposes a ban on most forms of tobacco advertising and promotion, with a few exceptions, and authorizes the Minister of Public Health to promulgate regulations specifying criteria, procedures and conditions for packaging and labeling.
