Governmental Decree No. 167 validating the Regulation on State Interdepartmental Commission on Environmental Education.

This Regulation establishes that State Interdepartmental Commission on Environmental Education was constituted with a view of coordination of activities of the executive bodies, ministries and departments, as well as organizations concerned related to environmental education of the population of the Republic of Tajikistan. The Commission shall perform the following tasks: (a) - implementation of the state policy in the field of environmental education of the population, development of programs for its implementation and monitoring of the implementation thereof; (b) coordination of activities of local executive bodies of state power, other competent bodies of the Republic of Tajikistan, organizations and institutions, public associations for environmental education of the population; (c) preparation and submission of draft resolutions on issues of environmental education; (d) organization of methodological assistance to educational institutions and public associations on environmental education of the population; and (e) - consideration of proposals for creating a system of information support for environmental education and dissemination of environmental knowledge among various strata of the population.
