Governmental Decree No. 645 validating the Concept of environmental protection.

This Decree determines the implementation of state policy in the sphere of environmental protection and rational management of natural resources. The objective shall be to ensure favorable natural environment with a view of improvement of living standards of the population, protection of public health, poverty reduction and rational management of natural resources. Concept of environmental protection shall perform the following tasks: (a) centralized data collection and data processing related to the state of environment and management of the national natural resources; (b) assessment of environmental situation and managerial decision-making; (c) exchange of scientific information; and (d) public participation and involvement of non-governmental entities in the cause of environmental protection.
