Governmental Decree No. 645 validating the Regulation on safe disposal of medicines non-complying with acting standards.

This Governmental Decree establishes the procedure for safe disposal of medicines non-complying with acting standards. It shall not be applicable to management and disposal of medical waste produced by healthcare institutions. The following arrangements shall be performed in the process of safe disposal of medicines non-complying with acting standards: (a) decision-making on the necessity of disposal of perished medicines; (b) approval by the Ministry of Public Health; (c) expertise and planning; (d) formation of working groups; (e) waste segregation and classification by categories; and (f) safe waste disposal through return to sender or manufacturer, transboundary movement or dumping.
