Governmental Decree No. 697 validating the Regulation on the performance of state environmental audit.

This Regulation establishes that the performance of state environmental audit shall be subject to submittal of the application by the customer or the originator of the project documentation attached with materials on environmental impact assessment by authorized experts bodies of the Committee on Environmental Protection under the Government of the Republic Tajikistan. The objects of the state environmental audit shall be project and other documentation on the planned economic and other activities. Project documentation includes: (a) urban projects of general, special and detailed land-use planning, architectural development projects of territories; (b) substantiation of investment in construction, project documentation (architectural, construction projects and others) on construction, reconstruction, expansion, technical renovation, improvement, changing the direction of production, liquidation (decommissioning) of facilities and complexes, regardless of the types of ownership and management; (c) projects of territorial integrated use schemes of natural resources management and environmental protection; and (d) projects of water protection zones and coastal strips of water objects. Other documentation includes: (a) draft concepts, forecasts, programs and sectoral development schemes, the implementation of which is associated with the use of natural resources and/or affecting the environment; (b) hunting management projects; (c) forest management projects; (d) draft technical regulatory legal acts, in which environmental requirements and/or rational use of natural resources related to products, processes of its development, production, operation, storage, transportation, trade and recycling thereof or provision of services. Other projects may be objects of environmental impact assessment by types of economic and other activities the implementation of which causes environmental impact.
