Law No. 1214 “On ensuring environmental safety of motor vehicles”.

The scope of this Law shall be to ensure environmental safety of motor vehicles intended as complex of measure aimed at reduction and prevention of hazardous impact of motor vehicles on environment and public health. The objectives of this Law shall be as follows: (a) prevention, reduction, integrated pollution control in the process of manufacturing, operation and disposal of motor vehicles, as well as control of emissions, discharge and other negative impacts caused by the operation of the motor vehicles; (b) increase of the general level of environmental protection against technological impacts by end-of-life motor vehicles and disposal thereof; (c) the production and operation of motor vehicles, as well as maintenance of used vehicles; and (d) ensuring the safety of manufacturing and operation of motor vehicles for environment and public health.
