Law No. 194 “On inspections of the activities of business entities.”

This Law establishes the procedure for conducting inspections, the rights and obligations of business entities and officials of inspection bodies and is aimed at protecting their activities from illegal interference. It regulates relations regarding the organization and conduct by inspection bodies of inspections of the activities of business entities. Inspection is a form of control activity, which refers to the actions of officials of inspection bodies aimed at ensuring compliance and fulfillment by business entities of the requirements and conditions established by the national legislation, identifying and suppressing offenses, preventing them and applying sanctions. An inspection is considered an official visit by an official of an inspection body for the purpose of exercising state control over the activities of business entities. The purpose of inspections of the activities of business entities in the Republic of Tajikistan is to protect the rights and legitimate interests of citizens, ensure compliance with the conditions and requirements of the national legislation, prevent and suppress offenses in the activities of business entities. This Law contains 4 Chapters divided into 27 Articles. Chapter 1 lays down general provisions. Chapter 2 establishes the procedure for conduct of inspections of business entities. Chapter 3 establishes rights and duties of business entities in the process of inspections. Chapter 4 lays down final provisions.
