Law No. 666 “On safety of waterworks”.

This Law regulates the relations in the sphere of ensuring safety of waterworks in the process of design, construction, overhaul, putting in operation, reconstruction, restoration, conservation and liquidation of the waterworks. It establishes the duties of public authorities, owners and operators of waterworks for ensuring safety of waterworks. State supervision in the field of safety of waterworks shall be performed by the executive body of state power with the competence in the field of safety of waterworks authorized by the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan. All the waterworks shall be subject to mandatory state registration. The declaration of safety of waterworks shall the main document, which contains information on the compliance of the waterworks with the safety criteria.
