Law No.85 of 2002 on iodising of salt.

The present Law establishes legal, organizational and economic basis for the arrangements related to prophylaxis of the diseases connected with iodine insufficiency in the Republic of Tajikistan and regulates relations in this sphere. The document consists of 12 Articles. Art.1 lays down general provisions. Art.2 regards legislation on iodising of salt. Art.3 establishes sphere of application of the present Law. Art.4 establishes competence of authorized state institutions in the field of iodising of salt. Art.5 regards arrangements for iodising of salt. Art.6 regards state control over prophylaxis of the diseases connected with iodine insufficiency. Art.7 establishes requirements for iodising of salt. Art.8 regards certification. Art.9 regards incentives for processing of iodised salt. Art.10 regards quality and safety of iodised salt. Art.11 establishes liability for the infringement of the present Law. Art.12 regards enactment of the present Law.
