Ministerial Decree No. 134 validating the Regulation on the State Forest Service.

The State Forest Enterprise “TAJIKLES” shall be entitled with the task of forest protection and the supervision of protected areas. The protection of the state forest stock, greenhouses and forests pertaining to protected areas shall be carried out by the State Forestry Enterprise “TAJIKLES” and the bodies and organizations pertaining thereto. The protection of urban plantations shall be carried out by the local administration. The protection of kolkhoz forests shall be carried out by forest service. The main tasks of the State Forest Service shall be: 1) protection of forests against illegal felling; 2) forest fire prevention; 3) warning in case of the appearance of pests in the forests; 4) supervision of the observance of hunting seasons; 5) mowing and grazing supervision. The State Forest Enterprise “TAJIKLES” shall have the following functions: 1) inspection of the documents authorizing felling, mowing, grazing and other types of forest management; 2) inspection of fire prevention arrangements; 3) seizure of illegally extracted timber products. The forest officers shall have the right to draw reports on administrative offences regarding violations of the forest regulations and forest fires.
