Ministerial Decree No. 97 setting up the National Committee on the international program “Geosphere-Biosphere”.

The Government, for the purpose of the improvement of intergovernmental coordination of research regarding control and prognostication of global changes in the atmosphere, soil, vegetable and animal realms, the development of the international data collection, reporting and storage systems, decrees to set up the National Committee. The main tasks of the National Committee shall be: 1) coordination of the international research; 2) creation of data base of the environmental information for the purpose of the prognostication of the global environmental changes and granting access to the aforesaid information; 3) expertise.
