Abstract
The scope of Nutrition and Physical Activity Strategy shall be improvement and protection of public health through improvement of nutrition of the population, also by dietary uses of foodstuffs and physical activity. The Strategy covers all groups of the population, but particularly attention is paid to vulnerable groups (children and women), focusing on improving their diet, nutritional values and physical activity levels. Specific attention is paid to social determinants, such as gender, socio-economic status, ethnicity, strengthening organizational and human capacity as well as PHC training. The following arrangements shall be implemented within the framework of the Strategy: (a) increase breastfeeding up to 6 months by 50%; (b) reduction of stunting by 40%; (c) reduction of IDA among women of reproductive age by 50%; (d) maintain wasting below 5%; (e) block of increase of overweight in children and other groups of the population; (f) elimination of dietary trans-fats; (g) reduce salt intake by the population by 30%; (h) application of compliance with regulations on advertising of infant food; and (i) ensure daily consumption of at least of 400 grams of fruits and vegetables.
