Ordinance No. 3 of the Ministry of Economy and Trade validating the Regulation on State Trade Inspection of the Agency on Standardization, Metrology, Certification and Trade subordinated to the Ministry of Economy and Trade.

This Ordinance establishes that State Trade Inspection organizes and carries out state control (supervision) over compliance with trade and public catering regulations and rules, the procedure for applying prices for certain groups of goods, quality and safety of goods and services in the consumer market. The objects of state control of the Department in accordance with its tasks shall be enterprises, institutions, organizations regardless of ownership and departmental subordination, citizens who sell, produce food, consumer goods and services. State Trade Inspection shall perform the following tasks: (a) organization and performance of state control (supervision) over compliance with the norms and rules of trade and public catering, quality and safety of consumer goods; (b) activities to prevent abuse in trade and public catering and prevent poor quality goods from entering the consumer market; and (c) implementation of consumer protection measures in trade, public catering and service provision.
