Regulation on State Inspection on Quarantine of Plants at the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Tajikistan (No. 189 of 1994).

The State Inspection on Quarantine of Plants ("Tajikgosquarantine") is responsible for the protection of the territory of Tajikistan against penetration from other states of plant diseases and pests and for the elimination of such pests and diseases in the Republic of Tajikistan. It shall implement Decrees issued by the Ministry of Agriculture. Its specific tasks are: elaboration of rules, regulations, and instructions regarding plant quarantine; research on "structure of species and bio-ecology" of pests and diseases, elaborate conditions for importation of plants and plant products from other states, elaborate methods of quarantine analysis, methods of disinfecting, inspection of crops, nurseries, etc. It shall also establish quarantine divisions in districts and micro-districts in the territory of Tajikistan.
