Abstract
This Resolution shall be applicable to all forests growing on the national territory irrespectively of the form of ownership thereof. The procedure for main use and intermediate logging in forests depends on vegetation conditions, species composition and forest protection category. Main use felling shall be performed in forests grown for the purpose of obtaining industrial wood. Intermediate logging is a type of logging that is performed in forests, with a view of setting conditions for the growth of forest species and the improvement of forests. Sanitary cutting is performed in order to improve the sanitary condition of forests. Felling associated with the reconstruction of low-value forest plantations is performed in order to replace available forest stand with more productive with higher environmental value. In forests of national parks and historical and cultural parks, nature monuments of scientific value, green forest belts, walnut forests of industrial value, juniper forests and coastal forests shall be authorized only sanitary (species improvement) felling by permit issued by authorized state body in the sphere of forest management. Selection of forest species for all types of felling shall be calculated either by number of trees or by the amount expressed in cubic meters.
