Resolution No. 826 of the Forest Agency validating the Unified system of state forest cadastre.

Unified system of state forest cadastre was developed on the basis of clause 3, Article 34 of the Forest Code of the Republic of Tajikistan and is a collection of information and documents on the natural, economic and legal regime of forests, their protection category, forest quality characteristics, economic value, location and size of forest areas for sustainable forest management and efficient use of forests. The object of the state forest cadastre is the total state forest fund of the Republic of Tajikistan. The main task of the state forest cadastre shall be the continuous improvement of the technology for developing, systematizing, storing, updating and providing users with reliable and accurate forest cadastral information. The state forest cadastre is maintained by conducting work on aerial survey, space-surveying, topographic-geodesic, cartographic, soil, agrochemical, geobotanical and other surveys, conducting quantitative and qualitative accounting and economic valuation of forests, state registration of rights to forest lands of legal entities and natural persons. The state forest cadastre is intended to provide local self-government, relevant bodies, legal entities and natural persons with information about the forest in order to regulate forest relations, organize rational use, restoration and protection of forests, forest management, and substantiation of payments for forest use and evaluation of economic activities on land of state forest fund. The state forest cadastre is maintained for all forests of the total state forest fund according to a unified system based on forest management materials, and for forests where forest management has not been conducted - based on inventory data, aerotaxation and other forest surveys.
