Abstract
This Decree-Law approves the Regulation of the Ataúro Special Development Fund. The Regulation, aims at financing annual and multi-annual programmes and projects of a socio-economic and environmentally sustainable nature, aimed at the development of the territory and population of the municipality of Ataúro, namely in the following areas: a) Infrastructures (road, port, etc.); b) Telecommunications; c) Collective transport of passengers, by road or sea, and for the maritime cargo; d) Water and sanitation infrastructures, namely for the development of public water supply systems, public wastewater and sewage sanitation systems, public solid waste sanitation systems and public systems for capturing, storing, transporting water and irrigation for agricultural purposes; e) Infrastructures for social and cultural purposes (health centers, educational and vocational training and sport establishments, facilities for vulnerable population groups, etc.; f) Support infrastructure for civil protection activities and management of serious accidents and disasters; g) Energy infrastructures; h) Infrastructure to support agriculture, forestry, livestock and fisheries development; i) Municipal Administration of Ataúro and other public entities; j) Support infrastructure for tourism development; k) Infrastructure to support local development, namely markets, fish auctions, cattle bazaars or warehouses; l) Scholarship programs and training and qualification of professionals in strategic sectors for the development of the municipality of Ataúro, etc.
