Abstract
This Decree-Law creates the “Programme to encourage the renovation and expansion of coffee plantation areas” and approves the respective implementing rules. The Programme aims to: a) Stimulating the renewal of coffee plantations; b) Expand coffee plantation areas; c) Increase the annual production of coffee; d) Increase the farmers' income. The stimulus for the renovation and expansion of coffee plantation areas takes place through the granting of financial support in the form of public subsidies. Natural or legal persons who are engaged in agricultural activity can benefit from the above mentioned support.

Entry into force notes
This Decree-Law enters into force on the day after its publication and takes effect from the date of entry into force of the law that makes the first amendment to Law No. 1/2022 of 3 January.
