Decree-Law No. 47/2022 on Fishing Cooperatives.

This Decree-Law regulates Fishing Cooperatives. It establishes that these cooperatives and their higher-level organizations are governed by the provisions of this statute and, in their omissions, by those of the general legal regime for cooperatives. In particular, fishing cooperatives are those whose main object is the exploitation of the living resources of the sea, namely: a) The capture, harvesting, farming, conservation, processing, landing, transport, unloading and sale of fishery products and other living resources of the sea, including the seabed and areas under maritime jurisdiction; b) The extraction, treatment and sale of sea salt.
