Decree-Law No. 47/2024 establishing the Community Housing Programme.

The Community Housing Programme aims to ensure the right to housing, as a condition for the integrated and sustainable development of the community, through the planning and construction of housing and the respective infrastructure and complementary collective equipment, to be allocated to beneficiaries. The programme is implemented according to the following principles: a) Community participation, through the active involvement of communities at all stages; b) Sustainability, through the use of materials, techniques and training in ecologically responsible practices; c) Gender equality, through proportionally balanced participation in decision-making processes; d) Social inclusion, by adopting solutions and practices that do not exclude disabled people, the elderly and children; e) Cultural sensitivity, by adapting solutions and elements to traditional styles; f) Transparency and accountability, by creating and maintaining communication channels with the community to provide and collect information on the programme's implementation.
