Decree-Law No. 69/2023 on the Ministry of Youth, Sport, Arts and Culture.

This Decree-Law approves the Ministry of Youth, Sport, Arts and Culture (MJDAC). MJDAC is the government department responsible for the design, execution, coordination and evaluation of policy, defined and approved by the Council of Ministers, for the areas of youth, sport, arts and culture. The MJDAC is responsible to: a) Design policies in the areas of youth, and organization, financing, execution and evaluation, promoting integration with education initiatives; b) Promote activities aimed at the practice of sport and physical education in general; f) Establish mechanisms with other Government bodies responsible for implementing the national youth and sports policy; g) Promote active inclusion policies in the areas of youth and sport, especially through inclusive education measures and the participation of people with disabilities; h) Ensure and promote gender equality; i) Plan and execute a monitoring system in order to evaluate the results and impact of youth and sports policies; j) Develop policy and regulations for the conservation, protection and preservation of historical cultural heritage;
