Abstract
This Decree-Law approves the structure of the State Secretariat for Cooperatives (SECOOP). It comprises the set of bodies and services that support the Secretary of State for Cooperatives in the exercise of their respective powers, being responsible for promoting and strengthening the social economy sector, through deepening of cooperation between the State and organizations that make up the cooperative sector, with a view to stimulating their potential at the service of the country's socioeconomic development. SECOOP's duties are: a) Promote the development of the cooperative sector, mainly in rural areas in the agricultural production and micro and small industry sectors; b) Strengthen and encourage groups, cooperatives, associations to guarantee community participation; c) Mobilize and reinforce the financial capacity of production cooperatives and micro and small industries; d) Propose norms for training, management and protection of cooperative products; e) Encourage the creation of social economy entities, particularly in the cooperative sector; f) Promote the development of actions to publicize the cooperative sector to reinforce its visibility; g) Encourage and facilitate the supply of raw materials produced by cooperatives to industries, etc.

This Decree-Law enters into force on the day after its publication.

This Decree-Law repeals Decree-Law No. 22/2019 of 31 July, and Decree-Law No. 6/2021 of 16 June on the previous Organization of the State Secretariat for Cooperatives.
