Abstract
This Decree-Law, consisting of seven Chapters, creates the Council for Final Delimitation of Maritime Boundaries. It establishes composition, duties and responsibilities of the above mentioned Council, entitled to, on request to Prime Minister's: give advice and make recommendations on any matters, decisions, strategies or initiatives relating to the final delimitation of maritime boundaries; report or provide details to the Prime Minister on issues related to the final delimitation of maritime boundaries; defend and promote the legitimate interests of Timor-Leste, both domestically and internationally, with respect to matters relating to the final delimitation of maritime boundaries, consistent with international rules, in accordance with the instructions of the Prime Minister; and perform any other task or provide information on any other matter that the Prime Minister considers necessary, in relation to the further final delimitation of maritime boundaries.
