Abstract
This Decree-Law creates the Mission Unit for Combating Stunting, which shall cease to exist on 31 December 2030. The Mission Unit provides support to the Prime Minister in the exercise of his powers and competences in the fight against stunting, with the mission of preparing the National Plan to Combat Stunting, implementing the measures provided for therein, contributing to informing and clarifying the population about the causes and consequences of stunting, mobilizing the general population to adopt preventive behaviors against stunting, supporting activities to treat and mitigate stunting and ensuring the coordination of administrative bodies and services in matters of combating stunting and child malnutrition.
Entry into force notes
This Decree-Law enters into force on the day after its publication and has effects from the date of entry into force of the General State Budget for 2023.
