Abstract
This Decree regulates the procedures concerning the Assignment of Territorial Areas to the Petroleum Exploration and Production of the Timor-Leste Territory for Petroleum Exploration and Production Activities. In particular, it defines the procedures to be adopted for the definition, assignment and exclusion of areas of the territory of Timor-Leste to carry out oil research and production activities. The definition and allocation of new areas for oil exploration and exploitation activity are made by blocks, in accordance with the provisions of article 8 of Law No. 13/2005, as amended.
