Abstract
This Government Resolution approves the National Strategic Plan for the Development of Tourism (PENDT 2023-2030). The PENDT 2023-2030 establishes objectives and proposes actions to be carried out by the Government by 2030, with a view to accelerating and improving the development of tourism in Timor-Leste, in a responsible, sustainable and inclusive manner, for and with the people of Timor and in partnership between national institutions, civil society, international development partners and the private sector. The PENDT also establishes 11 strategic intervention vectors, divided by each of the pillars of the National Tourism Policy, namely: a) Priority Pillar: i) Places of tourist interest; ii) Institutional, good governance and legislative framework; iii) Tourism products and services; iv) Infrastructure, transport and communications; b) Prosperity Pillar: i) Entrepreneurship and investment; ii) Banking and financial system; iii) Marketing; c) People Pillar: i) Tourism professionals; ii) Citizens; d) Protection Pillar – Sustainability; and e) Partnership Pillar.
