Abstract
This Government Resolution approves the accession of the Democratic Republic of Timor-Leste to the Agreement on the Establishment of the ASEAN Coordination Centre for Animal Health and Zoonoses (ACCAHZ). The Agreement on the Establishment of the ACCAHZ creates a permanent technical and institutional platform to strengthen regional cooperation in the field of animal health, in line with the integrated ‘One Health’ approach. ASEAN Member States agree to establish the ACCAHZ for the purpose of facilitating and providing a framework of cooperation and coordination among ASEAN Member States. The ACCAHZ also aim to contribute towards food security and safety, animal and human health, poverty alleviation, and the well-being and livelihood of the people of ASEAN.
