Resolution No. 59/2024 approving the National Multisectoral Nutrition Action Plan 2024-2030.

This Resolution approves the National Multisectoral Nutrition Action Plan (NAP 2024-2030). Its overall objective is: achieve optimal nutrition for all children aged 0-23 months and women of reproductive age. The strategic objectives of NAP are: Prevent malnutrition with emphasis on stunting; Prevent micronutrient deficiencies among vulnerable groups; Promote the prevention, treatment and management of acute malnutrition among children under five years of age, pregnant and lactating women; Promote social behavior change interventions to improve optimal nutrition; Improve Nutrition-Sensitive Social Protection programmes; Improve the nutritional status of school-aged children and adolescents for optimal growth and development; Advocate for a healthy and nutritious diet within food systems that promote Maternal, Child and Youth Nutrition; Improve Nutrition Responsive to Water, Sanitation and Hygiene in nutrition and WASH programmes; Improve the delivery of nutritional interventions during emergencies; Strengthen and create an enabling environment for the effective implementation of nutrition services and programs that build national, community and family resilience; Strengthen Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability, Research and Learning, etc.
