Law amending Law “On environmental audit”.

Article 5 shall be amended to add the following wording: “In Turkmenistan shall be performed state environmental expertise, public environmental expertise and independent environmental expertise, which are performed in the form of environmental audit.” Article 26 shall be amended to add the following wording: “Independent environmental expertise. Independent environmental expertise, which is carried out in the form of environmental audit of the existing enterprises and production facilities causing negative impact on the environment, shall be performed by environmental auditors or an environmental audit organization at the applicant's discretion and shall be performed in accordance with the procedure and on the terms established by the legislation of Turkmenistan.”
