Abstract
This Law defines the legal and organizational framework for breeding activities in livestock and is aimed at preserving and increasing the gene pool of breeding animals, continuously improving and enhancing their production quality, and also regulates the activities of state institutions, legal entities and individuals engaged in breeding activities. It primarily addresses the legal framework governing breeding activities, including farm animals’ reproduction, emphasizing the establishment and operation of animal semen (sperm) production entities. It outlines the organizational and legal forms of these entities, their objectives, and the regulatory compliance required under the national legislative framework. Key legal principles include the necessity for semen (sperm) production entities to operate in accordance with national laws and the requirement for these entities to be authorized by relevant regulatory bodies. The document specifies several measures aimed at enhancing semen (sperm) production, including the development of high-yield semen (sperm) varieties and hybrids, the improvement of semen (sperm) selection processes, and the promotion of artificial insemination methods in livestock breeding.
