Law No. 266-V “On apiculture”.

This Law regulates apiculture, beekeeping, use of bees for pollination of entomophilous plants, obtaining apiculture products and protection of honey bees. It classifies apiaries and beehives as stationary and non-stationary. This Law shall have the following purposes: (a) meeting the demand of the population for apiculture products; (b) protection of legal rights and interests of legal and natural persons operating in the field of apiculture; (c) setting up conditions for promotion of apiculture practice; (d) protection of honey bees; (e) improvement of genetic resources of honey bees; and (e) improvement of honey processing technologies.
