Law No. 308-V “On horse breeding and horse-racing”.

This Law establishes legal, economic and organizational grounds for promotion of horse breeding and horse-racing and is aimed at conservation of genetic resources of pedigree horses, regulating breeding and management thereof. National legislation of the sphere of pedigree horse breeding shall be based upon the following principles: (a) regulation of pedigree horse breeding in line with the state policy; (b) compliance with veterinary provisions in accordance with horse selection activity; (c) scientific research in accordance with immune and genetic analysis of horse breeds; and (d) planning with a view of increasing pedigree horse stock for stock enhancement purposes. Horse-breeding shall be based upon public and private ownership of horse-breeding enterprises.
