Law No. 394-IV “On major pipeline gas transport”.

This Law establishes legal, economic and organizational basis related to construction, functioning and development of major pipeline gas transport. It shall be applicable to projecting, construction, putting in and out of operation of the objects of major pipeline gas transport infrastructure. Basic principles of state policy shall be as follows: (a) safety of the population and of the state, environmental protection; (b) state regulation; (c) use of innovative technologies; (d) transparency; and (e) compulsory compensation of damages caused by major pipeline gas transport to environment, legal and natural persons.
