Law No. 75-IV “On firearms”.

This Law establishes the modalities of turnover of firearms, including those for civic use, and ammunition, on the national territory and shall have as its purpose protection of human life and health, and also protection of nature and natural resources. Article 5 classifies firearms for civic use as sport firearms and hunting firearms. Article 9 establishes mandatory certification of all firearms and ammunition imported to Turkmenistan. Article 11 grants the right to purchase sport and hunting firearms to sport and hunting organizations, and also to citizens of Turkmenistan in accordance with the legislation currently in force. Article 25 establishes the modalities of the contents and keeping of state register of firearms and ammunition.
