Law “On protection of human health against hazardous impact of tobacco smoke and negative consequences of tobacco consumption”.

This Law establishes principles of state policy in the sphere of protection of public health against hazardous impact of tobacco smoke and negative consequences of tobacco consumption and regulates relations originating from import and consumption of tobaccos on the national territory. The scope of this Law shall be protection of the present and future generations against tobacco smoke and negative consequences of tobacco consumption, including ecological consequences, through restriction of consumption of tobaccos and also by means of dissemination of information related to negative impact of tobaccos. Te principles of the state policy in the aforesaid sphere shall be as follows: (a) ensuring the right of citizens to health and protection of negative impact of tobaccos; (b) prevention of tobacco-related diseases; (c) reduction of tobacco consumption; and (d) international cooperation.
