Order No. 28 of the Ministry of Economy and Finance validating the Regulation on the Patent Appeals Commission.

This Order sets forth the modalities for the creation and functioning of the Patent Appeals Commission, which shall examine violations of and challenges to the rights under patent legislation. The Commission shall be responsible for: (a) protecting intellectual property rights; (b) examining challenges to testing of industrial property; and (c) hearing objections to patents, trademarks, service marks or authorizations for the use of internationally registered trademarks or service marks on the national territory.
