Presidential Decree No. 14508 “On the establishment of a service for state registration of rights to real estate and related interests under the Ministry of Justice”.

The Service for State Registration of Rights to Real Estate and Related Interests under the Ministry of Justice of is a state body that carries out state management in the field of state registration of rights to real estate and related interests. The main tasks of the Service shall be as follows: (a) to formulate and exercise control over state policy regarding state registration of rights to immovable property and related interests; (b) to provide guidance, coordination and supervision to service departments and local authorities; (c) to maintain the State Register of rights to real estate and interests related thereto throughout the national territory; (c) to ensure compliance with the rules for maintaining the state register of rights to real estate and related interests; (d) to collect, analyze, and summarize the final results of state registration of rights to real estate and related rights throughout the national territory; (e) to develop and issue methodological documents on the issues of the practice of maintaining the State Register and the implementation of state registration of rights by local authorities of the Service; (f) to ensure the maintenance, protection and safekeeping of State Register documents; (g) to provide information on rights to immovable property belonging to individuals and legal entities from the state register; (h) to maintain interaction with institutions and other state agencies that carry out registration of real estate objects within the scope of their powers; and (i) to perform other functions assigned to its authority by the legislation of Turkmenistan.
