Abstract
This Act contains rules relative to public enterprises including the Ports Authority, the Tonga Water Board, Tonga Timber Ltd. and the Tonga Development Bank and defines objectives for these enterprises.
All public enterprises shall be subject to this Act. The rules concern, among other things, the formation and ownership of public enterprises, the role of the board and directors, accountability and the carrying out of non-commercial activities requested by the Government.
