Abstract
This Act amends the Shipping Act with respect to powers to cancel a registration of a Tongan ship by the Registrar. The Registrar shall require any owner, charterer, master or agent of a Tongan ship to sign a declaration that the ship will not be used for specified illegal activities. The Registrar shall immediately cancel the registration of any ship if he or she has reasonable grounds to believe that a declaration in respect of such ship has been breached.
