Special Management Area Order (GS No. 20 of 2004).

With this Order, the Minister of Fisheries declares specified areas to be Special Management Areas for conservation and management purposes. These areas shall be reserved exclusively for local fishing vessels of Tonga under special licenses and conditions issued by the Minister in accordance with the Fisheries Management Act. The power to establish the areas is contained in section 13(1) of the Act.
