Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation between the Government of the Republic of Turkey and the Government of the Republic of the Guinea in the field of environment.

By the Decree No. 2017/10769 of the Council of Ministers of 15 August 2017, the Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation between the Government of the Republic of Turkey and the Government of the Republic of the Guinea in the field of environment has been approved. The Parties agree upon cooperation in the fields of integrated waste management, integrated wastewater management, recycling, air quality management, pollution control in marine environment, climate change, environmental noise management, chemicals management, long-range trans-boundary air pollution and dust transport, prevention of major industrial accidents, EIA, environmental permit and licensing procedures, environmental monitoring, environmental auditing, biodiversity conservation, protected areas, ecotourism, GIS, environmental education and capacity building. The Parties shall develop cooperation by exchange of scientific and technical information, know-how and documents, and by development of projects. The Parties may organize training programs, meetings, conferences, symposia, scientific and technical visiting programs, as well as reciprocal visits of researchers, consultants, experts and NGO members. A Joint Committee shall be established. This MoU may be amended by mutual written consent. The dispute may be solved through negotiation. This MoU shall be valid for one year and may be extended for successive periods of one year unless terminated by written notice requiring six months.
